Teen Mom 2 Recap: Leah Messer Gets Good News; Adam Lind & Kieffer Delp Wreak Havoc!

This week on Teen Mom 2, we got a bit of good news.

Very good news, in fact. Baby Ali is going to be alright. Her brain is fine, following weeks of worrying and a health scare that put everything into perspective.

If only the good news continued from there. Alas, Teen Mom 2 bad boys Adam Lind and Kieffer Delp continued to make their girls' lives a living hell at times.

Find out why in THG's +/- TM2 recap below!

Poor Chelsea Houska

Chelsea Houska is in bed, complaining on the phone to her father because Adam has abandoned her and taken baby Aubree with him. Dude, you took him back. Minus 5.

"That's your Prince Charming," her father explains. "That's the way he's always been, and you need to decide whether you're OK with that." To say the least. Plus 5.

Adam texts "I am keeping Aubree. Shut up." Could be worse. Wash.

Sympathizing with Adam isn't always the easiest thing to pull off, but at times we do. Not when he's calling Chelsea awful names certainly, but when he does try. Plus 2.

He's not all bad, always, but with Chelsea's neediness he is made to seem like it. Plus only 4, because as we said, the guy has issues. But Chelsea, get it together girl.

Minus 3 for her dad talking tough but still enabling her, too.

Kailyn's friend Stephanie asks, as if reading cue cards: "So are you and Jordan having sex?" "So are you having unprotected sex?" Totally natural questions. Minus 8.

Give MTV credit for the obvious PSA on birth control and discussions about sex with your partner, though, because at least they scripted something useful. Plus 10.

Kailyn gets a Mirena IUD, protecting her for five years. Very proactive. Plus 7.

Minus only 4 for Jordan's annoyed, confused, awkward response. He could try a little harder to seem less uncomfortable, but there is a camera crew in his grill.

Later on, Jordan apologizes and does the impossible as he makes Kailyn smile and laugh. Plus 20. You never know, this one could be a keeper, Kails!

Corey and Leah Picture

The results of Leah and Corey's baby daughter Ali's brain MRI are revealed: "Her brain is fine," the pediatrician tells her worried parents. PHEW. Plus 50, but ...

One, but not both of Ali's optic nerves is indeed small, and will likely affect her sight in that eye. But her brain is fine, and you can't fix that. So again, phew!

Corey says later, "She was made for glasses." Too true. Pink ones! Plus 10.

Jenelle Evans fails one of her college classes? There's a shocker! Minus 14.

For her daughter's 19th birthday Barbara gets her a tire-changing kit and jumper cables. Hey, when you've lived in a car, what could be more practical? Plus 40.

Sadly, nothing about J is practical. She's a ticking time bomb waiting to explode, and you'd best not be the guy (or girl) who gets in the way ... Minus 10.

Alas, Barbara will eventually learn that Jenelle is not being "truthful and honest" with her about her relationship with Kieffer, who she is not avoiding. Minus 15.

She herself drives him to the police station to answer her charges of domestic violence. Definitely the way to smooth things over. These two are toxic. Minus 20.

Jenelle: "I'm just happy this is my last year of being a teenager, just because, like, when you're in your teens like no one really takes you seriously." So when you turn 20, it's all gonna turn around? Kieffer is already 20, BT-Dubs. Minus 10.

At least he cut his hair. Plus 5.

Moscow rally urges release of opposition activist (AP)

MOSCOW ? Several hundred demonstrators have rallied in downtown Moscow to urge the release of a prominent Russian opposition activist and other political prisoners.

Sergei Udaltsov, the leader of the Left Front movement, has been in custody since the fraud-tainted Dec. 4 parliamentary election. He first was held on claims of staging an unsanctioned rally and then sentenced Sunday to another 10 days in jail on charges of resisting police.

Udaltsov has denied the charges and spent much of the month on a hunger strike.

Thursday's demonstration wasn't sanctioned by authorities, but police didn't intervene.

Russia has been rocked by massive protests against election fraud, which have dented the authority of Prime Minister Vladimir Putin, who wants to extend his 12-year rule by reclaiming the presidency in March.

Britain's Prince Philip leaves hospital (AP)

LONDON ? Britain's Prince Philip returned to the royal family's country estate Tuesday, after a spell in the hospital undergoing treatment for a blocked coronary artery.

Philip, Queen Elizabeth II's 90-year-old husband, spent four nights in the hospital recovering from a successful coronary stent procedure. He was taken to Papworth, a specialist heart hospital in Cambridge, on Friday after complaining of chest pains.

It was the most serious health scare suffered by Philip, who is known to be active and robust. He has continued to appear at many engagements, most recently taking a 10-day tour of Australia with the queen.

For the first time in years he was forced to miss the royal family's traditional Christmas festivities, which include attending a morning church service, viewing the queen's annual Christmas broadcast together, and a shooting party on Boxing Day.

Philip did not speak to reporters as he was driven away from the hospital in a Range Rover Tuesday morning, though he smiled and waved to those gathered to film his departure.

"He is very much looking forward to rejoining his family," a Buckingham Palace statement said, adding that he also thanked the hospital staff for their care.

Philip will now return to Sandringham, the queen's huge private estate in rural Norfolk where the royal family retreats for the holiday season every year.

It is not yet clear if Philip's heart problem will cause a reduction in his plans to travel with the queen next year to celebrate her Diamond Jubilee. He is scheduled to make a series of trips to England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland to help her mark her 60th year on the throne.

Now that Philip has been found to have coronary artery blockages, he is likely to be treated with several medications that are routinely prescribed for heart patients. The goal is to prevent future coronary artery blockages and a possible heart attack.

In most cases these medicines would include a daily dosage of aspirin to thin the blood, a statin to lower cholesterol, and possibly a beta-blocker and a separate medicine to control his blood pressure. Philip would also be expected to have his heart function tested every six months or so to check for any changes.

Philip had already announced when he turned 90 that he intended to slow down his extremely active schedule. The Diamond Jubilee plans reflected this desire, with the queen deciding to send her children and grandchildren on grueling overseas trips to Commonwealth countries while she and her husband make less demanding trips throughout the United Kingdom.

2 dead, 5 wounded at Church's Chicken in Englewood

Two people were killed and five others wounded when shots rang out at a fast-food restaurant in the Englewood neighborhood on the South Side this evening, authorities said.

The gunman had gotten into an argument with a person outside the Church's Chicken restaurant near 66th and Halsted streets, then chased the person inside and opened fire about 6:50 p.m., police said.

Surveillance video appears to show the intended target trying to run away through a crowd of people, police said. No one was in custody, police said.

Two people were dead on scene and four others were taken to hospitals initially in critical condition, according to police and the Chicago Fire Department. It was not known whether the person being chased was among the victims.

A 58-year-old man with several gunshot wounds and 17-year-old boy were taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn; a 16-year-old boy and a 51-year-old man were taken to Stroger Hospital. A fifth person also was hospitalized, but no information on that victim was available about 10:15 p.m.

The people who died were in the area of the restaurant where customers pick up their food, one person at the scene said.

Friends of a 17-year-old boy who was killed arrived at the scene around 8 p.m., screaming in agony.

"This is crazy. This is crazy," said LaToia Brown, who said the victim had dated her daughter off and on for years.

LaToia Brown said the teen had called her mama and often rode his bike to her house to see if she needed anything from the store. "That baby was definitely a good kid," she said, trying to hold back tears. "I loved everything about my baby."

Brown said the boy's cousin called to tell her he had been killed.

"I got up here as soon as I could, as soon as I hung up the phone," she said.

LaToia Brown's 16-year-old daughter, Diamond, said she and the victim were good friends and said he was always supportive and tried to lift everyone's spirit.

"He was a great big brother to my brothers and sisters," Diamond Brown said, tears welling in her eyes.

Crowds of people gathered at the yellow crime scene tape outside the restaurant, some trying to find out if friends or relatives had been shot.

Dozens of police officers and detectives stood in the restaurant's parking lot, where officers had placed several yellow evidence markers. Several detectives could be seen just inside the restaurant's entrance.

Police cars lined South Halsted Street, which was closed to traffic for about three blocks.

The restaurant is on the southwest corner of West 66th and South Halsted streets, next to a small food market and across the street from an auto parts store and a Family Dollar.

An Emergency Medical Services Plan 1, which sends six ambulances to a scene, was called for the attack, said Chicago Fire Department spokesman Kevin MacGregor.

Kudrin's 2 cents: Ex finance minister urges opposition-government ...

Former Finance Minister Aleksey Kudrin addresses an authorized opposition rally "For Fair Election" on Sakharov Avenue, Moscow (AFP Photo / Alexander Vilf)

Erstwhile Russian finance minister Aleksey Kudrin has come up with his own program for overcoming the current political standoff and is ready to become a mediator between the protesters and the authorities.

Kudrin believes dialogue between the protesters and the power base is possible, he said in an interview with Vedomosti daily.

On Saturday, Kudrin made a surprise appearance at the biggest protest rally in Moscow in about 20 years. Tens of thousands of participants demanded fair elections, jeered the Kremlin, and chanted slogans against Prime Minister Vladimir Putin.

Along with opposition leaders and other critics of the government, Kudrin addressed the crowd with a speech. He stressed that a broad political reform and amendments to the law on elections and registration of parties recently suggested by President Dmitry Medvedev should first be discussed with the opposition. Then, new parties should be created and an early State Duma vote should be held next year.

Kudrin agreed with protesters over the violations during the December 4 vote and that the head of the Central Election Commission Vladimir Churov should be dismissed. The protesters, however, were not terribly excited by the appeal and booed the former minister, who Putin recently called ?my long-standing friend.?

Explaining the reason behind his decision to turn up at the December 24 demonstration, Kudrin told Vedomosti that he is worried about the events in the country.

?I?ve analyzed them: everything that took place before and after the rally on Bolotnaya [Square], Putin?s live Q&A, Medvedev?s address [to the Federal Assembly,? he said.

?I realized that both sides ? the protesters? demands and Medvedev?s political initiatives ? have shortcomings. The rally demands the annulling of election results, but doesn?t consider how the country would live without a parliament. Medvedev, for his part, submitted his proposals without any public debate,? Kudrin pointed out.

The ex-minister stressed that instability must be prevented and ideas proposed by both sides should be discussed and adjusted.

Kudrin observed that completely different people ? from students and teachers to clerks and businessmen ? came to last Saturday?s meeting on Akademika Sakharova Boulevard. He noted that the members of rally?s organizing committee said that a dialogue with the authorities is possible. Kudrin urged the creation of a group of negotiators and drafting a list of demands to be put on the negotiating table.

Explaining his confidence over the leadership?s readiness to listen to protesters, Kudrin said he drew such conclusions after discussing the matter with Putin prior to the demonstration.

The ex finance chief stressed though that he himself made the decision to come to the rally and make an appeal, and underlined that Putin did not authorize him to become a negotiator. Kudrin noted that he is happy with his current independent position, would not want to lose it and if the sides manage to iron out differences without his help, he would only be glad.

Aleksey Kudrin noted that the main point of the rally was a demand for fair elections and even the protesters agree that whoever wins in a fair battle should rule the country.

?As I understood from the conversation with Putin, he is not afraid of the March 4 [presidential] vote and is ready to take all necessary measures in order to hold the elections fairly. I think this should be used in order to hold a model poll on March 4,? Kudrin concluded.

McIlroy Jump-Starts Good Year for Golf

Compared with last year, 2011 was a feel-good stretch for golf. In 2010, the themes were Tiger Woods's feckless efforts to rebound from scandal, Dustin Johnson's final-round botches in two majors, and the U.S. Ryder Cup team's disappointing loss in Wales. By contrast, this year was full of triumphs, and tees up the coming season for more high drama.

The most resounding triumph was 22-year-old Rory McIlroy's runaway victory at the U.S. Open at Congressional. Both his record 16-under-par total of 268 and his eight-stroke margin on the field were Tiger-like in scale, and seemed to confirm the predictions of many that the mopheaded lad from Northern Ireland is destined to become one of the game's all-time greats.

Less sensational, perhaps, but just as impressive...

The 160-year-old landmark Roanoke College Administration Building is undergoing an exterior wall renovation (extreme left) after it was bowing outward under its own weight. The original bricks have been removed and a new brick veneer wall, this time complete with a foundation, is being put up.

The original bricks, made on-site, were removed from the Roanoke College Administration Building after an exterior wall began to bow and are stacked on pallets off campus. Some are crumbly after moisture affected their stability. Their replacements were matched by Old Virginia Brick in Salem.

If you own an older home, you'll understand this.

You don't really know exactly what you've got until it falls apart. And make no mistake: Things fall apart. That's what you put up with in an older home.

So it is with the home that Roanoke College has occupied since the mid-19th century.

Since August, workers have removed the entire west wall of the college's administration building, a National Historic Landmark, because it was bulging outward. They are now rebuilding it.

The painstaking process has offered a window into antebellum construction methods, some of which don't necessarily make you feel all that good about that construction.

"With a building of this age, you're always going to have maintenance issues," said Randy Jones, an architect and CEO of OWPR Inc., a Blacksburg architecture and engineering firm that has been involved in numerous building and renovation projects on the campus in recent years.

But this is serious maintenance.

For years, the wall has tried to bulge outward. In the 1980s, the college anchored the wall to the interior of the structure with steel rods, which helped, but still it bulged ever so slowly until something had to be done. It had pushed outward some three or four inches.

"It was getting close to the point of being critical," Jones said.

The wall, part of an addition to the original core of the building, had to be taken down, by hand, one brick at a time.

That was partly because they couldn't just knock it down without likely damaging very nearby Miller Hall. It's also because of the way the wall was constructed.

It was nothing but bricks ? no frame or other reinforcement ? stacked upon dirt. That's right, no foundation whatsoever.

The wall was five courses of brick thick at the base, Jones said, and graduated as the wall climbed higher.

Even taking it down by hand was tedious.

"You just don't know, as you systematically remove it, if it's going to stay," Jones said.

A giant wooden facia was removed in one piece and will be replaced.

The college also saved as many of the bricks as possible ? several thousand of them are stacked on pallets now ? but they aren't being used to rebuild the wall. College officials aren't yet sure what they'll do with them.

New bricks from Old Virginia Brick in Salem are being used in the reconstruction ? anchored to a modern, steel-reinforced concrete block wall and sitting upon a new concrete foundation.

Two windows from the wall, part of the original construction, were also saved and will be reused.

"It's the essential building on campus, so you want to keep it as original as possible," Jones said.

Taken as a whole, the building, with its several additions, is one of the 10 or 12 oldest buildings in Salem, said historian John Long, director of the Salem Museum.

The two-story center of the building was built in 1848. An east wing was added in 1852, and the west wing in 1854. In 1903, a third story was added to the building to give it the shape it has today.

It has had other problems through the years. One of the four massive columns on the front was replaced a few years ago. The rear of the west wing began to sag badly, so workers installed jacks to prop it up, though some windows still list to the right.

A chimney also had to be rebuilt.

But then, that's the stuff you put up with when you have an older home.

Venezuelan opposition politician freed from prison (AP)

CARACAS, Venezuela ? A Venezuelan opposition politician who has prostate cancer has been freed after four years in prison.

Jose Sanchez Montiel was sentenced last year to 19 years in prison after being convicted of complicity in the killing of a military intelligence official in 2007.

His lawyer Theresly Malave says a court granted Sanchez conditional humanitarian release on Friday because of the cancer.

Sanchez was elected to the National Assembly last year. He maintains he is innocent.

Some opposition politicians have described him as a political prisoner. Sanchez is one of four jailed opponents of President Hugo Chavez who have been paroled this year due to health problems.

A Rookie Was Willing To Pay $1 Million Of His Own Money To Play In The NBA This Season

Other than laying claim to Michael Jordan as their owner, the Charlotte Bobcats don?t exactly have much going for them.

And even ?His Airness? isn?t holding the same cache among people that it used to.

Just don?t tell that to Bismack Biyombo.

The first-round draft pick wanted to play for a franchise that?s never won more than 44 games so badly, that he was willing to pay?his own way to make that a reality.

Under contract with Fuenlabrada, a Spanish club, for two more seasons, the team held Biyombo to his $1.5 million buyout. With the Bobcats only able to pay $500,000 and Biyombo?s court attempts to lower the buyout total foiled, the Congo native agreed to pay the difference out of his own pocket.

That?s serious dedication.

Especially for a team whose stated offensive philosophy this season will be to make Corey Maggette the ?focal point? of their offense.

Control4 MyHome app takes up residence on Android while Android@Home is out of town

Home automation provider Control4 has finally seen fit to open up its systems to Android users, releasing a version of its MyHome software for phones and tablets. Already available on iOS and PCs, it lets homeowners with Control4 setups manage their video, music, lighting and more on their own devices with taps and gestures. The apps themselves are free, but naturally one will need a MyHome license to use them, which runs $499 for multiple devices at one location or $199 for a single device. Of course, if you've had one of these installed scraping together the cash probably won't be too difficult, while you're checking the couch for loose change we'll sit back and wonder whatever happened to that Android@Home project we (haven't) heard so much about.

The new and highly sensitive Cosmic Origins Spectrograph aboard the Hubble Space Telescope has discovered a strong ultraviolet-wavelength absorber on Pluto's surface, providing new evidence that points to the possibility of complex hydrocarbon and/or nitrile molecules lying on the surface, according to a paper recently published in the Astronomical Journal by researchers from Southwest Research Institute and Nebraska Wesleyan University.

Such chemical species can be produced by the interaction of sunlight or cosmic rays with Pluto's known surface ices, including methane, carbon monoxide and nitrogen.

The project, led by SwRI's Dr. Alan Stern, also included SwRI researchers Dr. John Spencer and Adam Shinn, and Nebraska Wesleyan University researchers Dr. Nathaniel Cunningham and student Mitch Hain.

"This is an exciting finding because complex Plutonian hydrocarbons and other molecules that could be responsible for the ultraviolet spectral features we found with Hubble may, among other things, be responsible for giving Pluto its ruddy color," said Stern.

The team also discovered evidence of changes in Pluto's ultraviolet spectrum compared to Hubble measurements from the 1990s. The changes may be related to differing terrains seen now versus in the 1990s, or to other effects, such as changes in the surface related to a steep increase in the pressure of Pluto's atmosphere during that same time span.

"The discovery we made with Hubble reminds us that even more exciting discoveries about Pluto's composition and surface evolution are likely to be in store when NASA's New Horizons spacecraft arrives at Pluto in 2015," Stern added.

Judge upholds TV producer's extradition to Mexico (AP)

LOS ANGELES ? A Los Angeles federal judge on Wednesday upheld former reality show producer Bruce Beresford-Redman's extradition to Mexico to face charges in his wife's death.

U.S. District Judge Philip S. Gutierrez wrote that there are many pages of competent evidence supporting prosecution claims that the producer killed his wife during a family vacation in Mexico last year.

The Emmy-nominated producer of "Survivor" has been jailed in Los Angeles since November on a fugitive warrant.

His attorneys filed a petition for writ of habeas corpus in August arguing that his detention was not supported by facts in the case. Gutierrez disagreed, saying all evidence points to a homicide committed by Beresford-Redman.

He cited "pages upon pages of competent evidence demonstrating that the fugitive committed the offense for which extradition was sought, namely the aggravated homicide of the victim."

Gutierrez said materials presented to him documented "the infidelity, fighting, screaming from the hotel room, the fugitive's opportunity to dispose of the victim's body" and other evidence including scratches and abrasions fund on Beresford-Redman's body and his flight to avoid arrest in Mexico.

"All of this evidence points to homicide committed by the fugitive," said the judge's two-page ruling.

Beresford-Redman's attorney, Richard Hirsch, said he was weighing his options in the case and would make a statement later.

Hirsch could appeal the decision to the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals. If he does not appeal further, U.S. Attorney's spokesman Thom Mrozek said Mexico's extradition request would be submitted to U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton for final disposition.

Prosecutors have presented statements from hotel guests who said they heard loud arguing and cries of distress coming from the couple's room on the night Monica Beresford-Redman went missing. Her body was found days later in a sewer cistern not far from the room the couple shared with their young children.

The producer's attorneys have claimed the noises came from Beresford-Redman and his children playing loud games throughout the night. They introduced statements from the couple's 6-year-old daughter to corroborate the claim, but judges who have reviewed the case were not swayed.

If he is convicted of aggravated homicide in Mexico, Redman faces 12 to 30 years in a Mexican prison.

Chrome 15 overtakes IE 8 for top browser spot

Google

By Athima Chansanchai

If you're reading this on Chrome, you're part of a wave that has ditched Internet Explorer or Firefox and helped vault Google's browser to the top Web browser spot worldwide.

We've been watching for a while now as reports have shown a consistent rise in Chrome's popularity. We saw how in one report, it's already gone past Firefox, knowing it was just a matter of time before it usurped one of the longest reigning dynasties in the browser world, IE.

But wait, there is a caveat to this: Chrome 15 beat IE 8, specifically, this one week at the end of November, with 23.6 percent of the worldwide market, compared to IE 8's at 23.5 percent.?With all the versions of IE floating around, IE is still No. 1 in the world, but Chrome is right behind it.

StatCounter

Ireland-based?StatCounter???which posts Web analytics based on aggregate data it collects from a?sample exceeding 15 billion pageviews per month (including 4 billion in the U.S.),?collected from the StatCounter network of more than 3 million websites???released a statement?about Chrome 15's ascension, humbling the initial enthusiasm of any Google devotee when it also made it clear that in the?U.S., reports of IE's demise are still premature. According to StatCounter, It was still able to capture?27 percent of browser action last week, compared to 18.1 percent for Chrome 15.

Different companies will issue different stats on just how much of a lead IE still has on Chrome, with companies such as?NetMarketShare?showing?IE's year-long steady free fall, but still at about 52 percent a month ago.?

Chrome has made a steady rise as IE declines, but Firefox still stands in its way. But not by much. And by StatCounter's measure, in the world outside the U.S., Chrome already brushed past Firefox in November, when it wrested the No. 2 spot with 25.69 percent of the worldwide market (up from 4.66 percent in November 2009) compared to Firefox's 25.23 percent.?

Will 2012 be the year that sees the fall of IE everywhere, including the U.S.? Take our poll and let us know which browser you're using.

Beijing tightens controls over popular microblogs (Reuters)

BEIJING (Reuters) ? The Beijing city government said on Friday it would tighten control over popular microblogs that have vexed authorities with their rapid dissemination of news, giving users three months to register with their real names or face legal consequences.

China has repeatedly criticized microblogs for spreading what it calls unfounded rumors and vulgarities and has issued a series of warnings that online content must be acceptable to the ruling Communist Party.

Microblogs such as Sina's Weibo allow users to issue short messages of opinion -- a maximum of 140 Chinese characters -- that can course through chains of followers who receive messages instantly.

Censors have a hard time monitoring the tens of millions of messages sent every day and users have become expert at using clever, nuanced language to discuss sensitive topics such as human rights and the foibles of the top leadership.

Now, in rules unveiled by the Chinese capital's government and carried by state media, individual and company users must register with their real identification information.

Users have three months to register with "responsible departments for Internet content" or will face legal consequences, state media cited the rules as saying.

However, people will be able to choose their own user names, state-run Xinhua news agency cited an unidentified government spokesman with the Beijing Internet Information Office as saying.

Hong Kong media said the cities of Shanghai and Guangzhou were likely to follow suit.

"Not only will this not affect the development of microblogs, it will help such sites build their brands and improve their service," the government spokesman told Xinhua.

China has more than 300 million registered microbloggers, although many people have more than one account.

Wang Junxiu, an Internet commentator and investor in Beijing, said the new policy would be difficult to implement -- the rules give no details on how they will be enforced -- but nonetheless would have a chilling effect.

"I don't know how they're going to implement this because there are already hundreds of millions of users on microblogs," said Wang, who studies microblog developments.

"How do you go about checking them one by one? It will be very hard to enforce, but it still means that the intensity of controls will grow."

Peng Shaobin, general manager of Sina's microblog service department, told Xinhua that the company had been trying hard to "stop the spread of false information" on microblogs.

"We ... support the regulations," Peng said.

China already blocks foreign social media sites like Twitter and Facebook, fearing the uncensored sharing of images and information could cause instability and harm national security.

DISMAY ONLINE

Chinese microbloggers were quick to share their dismay at the new rules.

"This is a covert way of monitoring what people say and to control public opinion!" complained a user with the screen name of "huitailang." "But think about it another way -- if the subjects of heaven are full of complaints, that's bad for social harmony and for our emperors."

Still, investors may be slightly more relaxed, as they have been expecting tighter regulation for some time now, said Dick Wei, a Hong Kong-based analyst with JPMorgan.

The impact would depend on how the new regulations were executed, he added.

"If you look at the real-name registration for the online-games industry back a couple of years ago, the execution of the real-name registration on the online games industry did not impact the online game usage," Wei said.

Sina and other Chinese microblog operators already deploy technicians and software to monitor content and block and remove comments deemed unacceptable, especially about protests, official scandals and Party leaders.

While the Party has vowed to intensify control over online social media and instant messaging tools, analysts say it is unlikely to shut down what has become an important valve for monitoring and easing social pressures.

The government has also urged ministries, officials and the police to set up their own microblogging accounts to give the public "correct" facts and release authorized information to dispel misunderstandings.

The World Of Tewyn So Far?

It all began with a figure in black robes walking into town. It was a town called Pian, in a planet parallel to earth called Tewyn. Pian was a rather normal place to live in, guarded by the Empire of Ramona, and all its Ramonian soldiers, with a powerful dictator in command who lives rather close by. Its' natives are the local people known as the Kurenks, a once simple people, who slowly became civilized as time passed. It is like a much older time like the Roman empire, with some more modern advancements such as lamps and a few telephones.

*Ahem* So, it began with the figure in the black robes, with the frightening figure: that is until the stranger revealed their true form: It was actually in truth not some fearsome criminal, but a beautiful young woman. Her skin was tanned, likely since childhood upon birth, as well as being under the watchful eye of the sun for years, Her eyes as mysterious as she was, glowing with a golden curiosity of the present day world, with a shade of dark hair unlike most in Pian. She said she had arrived from Dias, come to fulfill an interest in dusty old antiques and cooking. Her business during the day was mostly work and taking walks around town. At night, there was no telling what she did: she could have been holed up in her home with all kinds of sounds and shadowy images going through her windows, as well as bright, multicolored lights. Her purchases from others would never only consist of normal things, for a girl especially, like dresses, make up, and groceries. Always the strangest ingredients and items, going crazy when she had found an artifact of some sort, and doing everything in her power to buy it.

Socially she preferred being by herself, or with an animal, maybe a few at most, rarely talking to people, or enjoying their company.

Image

She was deemed by the people a Gypsy. And eventually this stuck with her: She then labeled her antique store and food stand as the 'Gypsy Antiques' and 'The Uncommon Eatery,' selling off forgotten treasures and her popular 'Makai Momo' (Devil Dumplings), a popular treat that's as big as your hand, and colored red. She even took up the use of a crystal ball, although it doesn't really tell fortunes, its like a magic wand to her, holding all her spells, working as a weapon, and a ye olden computer/smart phone. At her command is a mighty warrior from another land, who possesses great power. All the power she needs incase a spell goes wrong, or maybe she wants to hunt down some mysterious creature (in other words, this deadly fighter is her new servant). Then again, she's also going around to prevent evil from spreading into the world of the mortals, fighting against Demons, Spirits, Beasts and monsters, and maybe even military groups that want to use this newfound power for themselves?

Here are the main two roles. I didn't intend for this to be a 1x1, so I'm up for any ideas for extra characters, just shoot me a PM! :D

1) The 'Gypsy'

A mysterious traveler from the land of Dias. Her different appearance and anti social personality shows out to most. In truth, she's intelligent, skilled, and fun to be around, if you can handle all the odd things she does, and win her favor, whether you do it directly, or indirectly. Her fashion sense would be lacking by most girls her age in Pian, and the Ramonian Empire. One of the only people she's ever opened up to is her assistant...

Image

2) The Gypsy's Assistant (JayZeroSnake)

A young man who also comes from a far off land, although not like the land of Dias. The Gypsy gets him fired from his old job to work for her (by force if I may add) as an assistant/bodyguard due to certain abilities and skills he possesses.
