Position Summary
The Department of Pediatrics is looking for a full-time Accounting Manager to join our department committed to providing the children of New Mexico with comprehensive family centered healthcare that is unequaled in the state and region. We have 20+ divisions, centers and offices. 500+ employees. We are a complex department that is looking for someone that has strong accounting, management, and reporting experience. The ideal candidate will come with a can-do attitude, good logic, hands-on approach, and great customer service skills.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree successful completion of at least 15 credit hours of university-level accounting through intermediate accounting; at least 5 years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree in related field or CPA
Work related experience:

designing, implementing and evaluating control processes

supervising, managing and training an accounting team

developing complex financial reports and analyzing data for a large organization

with all levels of accounts receivables

presenting financial information to executive levels individuals/groups

preparing financial projections and budgeting

Demonstrated knowledge level of federal and state financial regulations and university financial policies and procedures

Very strong knowledge of Banner finance/budget/salary planner

Very strong knowledge of contract and grant accounting

Very strong knowledge of Payroll and Position Control processes

Very strong knowledge of Finance Reporting and software
